I had recently bought a Sabrina’s Alakazam from someone. They told me to let them know if I wamted any more gym challenge holos. We got to talking and it turned out he had a mistys golduck. 1st ed. Psa 10. Said he wasn’t ready to sell. I offered him 4k to see if I could change his mind. He didn’t budge. I took a shot with a different guy on ebay who had his listed for 5k. I asked his best offer and his original best offer was 2.5k and said his minimum amount would be 3.5k. So I offered that immediately. He changed his option to “Or Best Offer.” And I closed the deal. Turned out to be 3.8k after tax but I got it.
Just some other data points.
I read somewhere that one sold for less than 2k about a month ago. My 4k offer got declined by someone who had one. And I actually found one for 3.5k. It’s a bit sporadic but those are the numbers I’ve seen the past month or so.
Anyone else have any expertise with this card?

I think that’s a fair price considering how hard it is to come by, one of the more popular cards in the set and you wanted one.

Well at-least you know the cards lineage. I purchased it from a guy I know who opened this up with his kids 20 years ago.
