I was wondering if anybody has encountered double foil errors on like cards like the moonbreon? Reason asking is i am in the process of buying one and from what i can see it does seem to have a lot more foil pattern than most moonbreons I’ve seen.
Any help and or other examples of the error would be appreciated if anybody had any. Thank you
I would not call it an error and I would not pay a premium for it. If it was specific to a print run or a print facility, there are likely to be many thousands of copies out there.
One of the earlier print runs had different looking texture/glitter. Not sure if theres any premium really. Could be either the texture/glitter was more or less visible which makes it seem different. Still cool tho
Here are some pics I took. I tried to get the best light and angels while taking pics with my phone but just being myself it was a bit hard. But you can see in some
Of the photos that the foiling is a lot more than what I’ve seen on other moonbreons.
I’ve seen TrainOfThought talk about this before. He called it the glittery or sparkly variant and I’ve seen him say he thought it was a rarer variant possibly from the prerelease (note: speculation).
Surprised CGC don’t have it on their labels already!
Considering the prominence of the card and the fact that it’s basically the modern-day equivalent of 1st edition Churrozard, I don’t doubt the variant will carry a premium if it doesn’t already.
Would be nice if they recognized it as an error or variant, because these definitely have a bit more shine/foil than other SIRs I’ve seen and compared to. I want to get it graded but wish I could see a variant/error label to it
I disagree with a label on the Psa case until there is concrete evidence where this variant comes from in the first place… I never ended up finding the 10 of it and I’ve gone absolutely insane sifting Ebay finding another… Ultimately I gave up
giving all cards with color variations a label pedigree is also a bit… moot.
