My friend asked me who was the most popular Pokemon. He thinks its Pikachu however I said it was Charizard.

Who do guys think it is?

but in actuality, Pikachu is probably the most iconic IMO. Charizard is popular among pokemon fans, but even my mom knows who pikachu is.

Pikachu is the most known Pokemon, Charizard is the most popular just going off how much dosh you have to splash for each card he graces compared to others

I think that’d be interesting to see too. Some Pokemon over there are pretty unexpectedly popular.
I remember reading a little while ago, that during 3rd generation, Torchic was super popular in Japan. Apparently this attributes to the fact that Torchic is now the hardest star to find from the set. Go figure.

Little surprised Mew didn’t crack the top 5 though my pick would have been Venusaur. Many others might pick Blastoise except he’s always reminded me of a TMNT.
