This amazing haha, I hope you keep this forever. I love how you had nicer handwriting in 7th grade than I do as a 27 year old haha.

Haha the reason for that is incredible stubbornness. In third grade we were learning cursive (probably one of the last years public schools still taught cursive as part of curriculum) and my teacher kept explaining I was holding the pencil the wrong way and wouldn’t learn. I tried and tried the new holding method with rubber pencil grips and just could not get it.

There was a book we used “Handwriting without Tears” and I hated it so much. Finally I was so humiliated and exhausted at failing with the new grip that I decided I would keep using my usual pencil holding style and work as hard as possible to be the best in the class. I practiced relentlessly every night and even made a “correct guide to cursive” that I gave my classmates to spite my teacher.

While I wish I had been so eager to excel at a more relevant skill in today’s world I do still write most things in cursive

@qwachansey, Oh man I can relate so heavily to learning cursive and hating it. We also did it in 3rd grade, they told us it was mandatory for highschool and university and we would be doing ALL our work in cursive hand writing. They abolished it the very next year and I have literally never used it since.

“I practiced relentlessly every night and even made a “correct guide to cursive” that I gave my classmates to spite my teacher.”
That’s hilarious haha.

“You’ll need to write all your assignments in cursive” and “You can’t expect to always have a calculator in your pocket” are two of the biggest accidental lies ever lmao

Damn. High school must have been tough for you.

LOL the transition to 9th grade was indeed a major shock vs completing my assignments in magic marker… I was very over confident I would do well but my first semester courses were horribly difficult.

If I made something like this when I was in 8th grade the teacher probably would’ve ripped it in half & blow torched it. Then after school I probably would’ve been jumped & thrown into a trash can.

You must’ve have went to a really nice school, I got teased just for bringing a few cards in 6th grade. Anything Pokemon related was banned too.

Legit!

What does your handwriting look like now? That it is honestly the most genuine thing I’ve seen in such a long time lol, that throws me back to the good days.

Wow nice Chansey love!

For me, writing cursive was mandatory for all submitted papers. Plus, junior high was grades 7, 8, and 9. High School was 10, 11, & 12.

That is dedication. Also your handwriting is 10/10. But sorry to say, those cards are fake.

hahaha this is amazing! so epic

I meant socially

Man, I hate doing cursive writing on 3rd grade. It did improve my signature tho.

Dude you’ve been in love with chansey since you came out of the womb huh?
