Good afternoon Everyone, This is my first time making a post, please pardon me in advance if I did not follow the rules when creating a post.
I recently purchased a 1st Ed gym heroes booster box back in June 2019. I would really appreciate the help determining if mine is real and has not been tampered with.
I also recently seen the video of TCA_Gaming being scammed or sold a resealed box. This made me questioned the authenticity of my booster box.
When I first purchased this item on eBay, the seller had 0 feedback and it seemed kinda suspicious but didn’t think anything of it. Now, I am doubting the authenticity of this box. As this is my first booster box that I have ever bought or owned and I do not have any experience in determining whether boxes are authentic. The seal on the box on one side is kinda detached but it is sealed and not opened.
I am unsure if I should open it. Maybe someone can help me determine if I should open or keep sealed because I don’t want to lose out if I open it and it does end up being real.
I did shake the box, pushed in the cover to see the packs and everything seems normal.
I don’t see anything that causes me concern looking at that. The likelihood of anyone’s box being resealed is extremely low in general, it’s the clear wrap boxes that require scrutiny not so much wotc wrap.
Thanks Boss. It just seemed suspicious to me at first because even the box got damaged while it was in transit to my house and the seller agreed to issue me a partial refund of $200 for the damage.
Sometimes i just offer something to get the problem out of my hair. Much easier to lose $200 of profit than pay for return shipping and try and sell it again.
It is factory sealed. In the last photo you see the corner of the WOTC logo on the seam, which confirms that it’s the original seam and not a re-seal.
