Need help with Damaged PSA Cards

So… I submitted 59 cards to PSA as a bulk submission in April, and finished in mid July.
As I live in a special place, the cards take time to get here, and when they arrived I was absent for about a week and couldn’t pick them up.
Just today, I picked up the graded cards and found 2 cases DAMAGED. On top of that, two are mislabeled as EX Holon Phantoms instead of Hidden Legends…
The package slip mentions that any damaged must be reported after 48 hours of receipt…

What should I do… I need some insight on what to do

(but hey, at least I got some good grades…)

Contact PSA and report the 4 problems. Ask for their advice then follow it.

Check your sub form and see if you entered the cards correctly…not that it matters.

Wow Gary, I keep seeing you say community, what do you mean, a community of assholes?

The guy shows evidence of why he started the thread, a reason to be unhappy, then he mentions a second problem. Instead of being a community member and saying, hey first problem sucks, second problem did you make a mistake you decide to make a snide comment.

edit- even if he is wrong about the second problem, we all should understand him questioning the problem due to the first problem. Gary, if you stopped before the … you comment was good, why did you make your comment an asshole comment after?

Isn’t he saying that regardless of how the form is filled out, PSA should be double checking regardless?

No, because he is putting it on the submitter.“The …not that it matters” is showing contempt for the OP.

edit- If Gary wasn’t showing contempt he would have phrased it differently. But being Gary no one is willing to say anything. Just a bunch of mouth breathers on E4.

We all know that PSA aren’t Pokemon experts. Gary is trying to say it was his fault, even though he doesn’t know this for a fact.“Check your sub form and see if you entered the cards correctly…not that it matters.” the pause puts the onus on the OP after such a bad experience.

Gary is letting being King Pokemon get to his head.

For those who are wondering…

Seems perfectly appropriate to me, I think you’re misunderstanding this.

Mislabels and case issues happen fairly frequently. There’s a prescribed method to follow when it happens, which Gary laid out. He’s simply noting a reason why the cards may be mislabeled, but it doesn’t matter whether the cards were entered correctly in the form because they’re mislabeled nonetheless and need to be corrected.

Mulder,
You need to learn respect and manners in here. Gary is one of the most respected member of this forum. We won’t tolerate your behavior!

This comment makes me sad because I know you’re trying to empathize with KaminoIkari and how crappy it is to get damaged cards back from PSA, but hurting the community does not help anything.

Misunderstandings like these are very common online in threads because the tone of the writer cannot be heard, and different people will interpret different things. However, if you stay a long while, read a few past threads, I can assure you will start feeling the tone of the writers and the different styles they portray.

In this regard, I am certain that Gary had 0 contempt against KaminoIkari because when Gary calls out something, he won’t be passive aggressive and will straight up call the person out. There are many examples of Gary calling people out, but here is one of them.

A bit off tangent but I feel like I should mention:

The personal attacks (calling us mouth breathers) are starting to get irritating because I feel like it highlights a new part of the community that assumes that the majority of Efour are just sheeps that follow every single word coming out of the veteran’s mouth. This is frankly getting annoying to deal with because saying this type of accusations are precisely what’s putting some people, including me, off from commenting. Gary and the other administrators are reputable because they are typically right in their opinions, which is why most people don’t “go against” them. If they are blatantly wrong or hostile all the time, would you think this community will keep growing? However, what’s happening right now is:

If they state their opinions and people disagree, the people who are against them either:
a. Call the community out by saying we just follow every single word they say, which is false.
b. Strawman their arguments and creating scenarios that are misunderstood.
c. Assuming they have all the time on their hands to answer each discussion in meticulous detail, so any minute detail left out is used against them.
d. Assume that if no one answers to negative responses, means that we are “scared” or “afraid” to speak up.

Seriously guys. This is getting ridiculous. Just because no one speaks up does not mean the community is scared of them. What can also be happening is that:

  1. You misunderstood what they said, and took the tone differently, so people who understood their tone felt nothing was wrong thus did not respond.

  2. The thread is about an opinion and we may agree or disagree with them, but can’t add much value to the thread so we do not respond.

  3. Members are in a middle of a heated argument where clearly both members misunderstood each other so it’s pointless to join in because neither party will agree with each other.

Just because you have a lower post count, or have a lesser collection, does not mean your opinion is discredited. However, if you disagree with a “veteran” member and notice no one is backing you up, it does not necessarily mean the community is disagreeing with you either. Just elaborate your opinion and leave it at that. Controversial threads is a see-saw of opinions with old and new members all being on different sides, depending on the scenario. Just check those out to see how we are not “sheep”.

This is how I interpreted it as well. I don’t see any sarcasm or contempt toward the topic creator in that post. It looks like a snide comment with respect to PSA.

@mulder , lay off my boy Gary. Your jealousy is coming off as anger. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all

Lol. Just saw this😮

Yes, of course my ”not that it matters” comment meant that either way PSA should take responsibility for it.
