I recently Joined IG strictly for Pokémon. I guess to gauge the market, get some deals and have fun.
It’s interesting to see the different types of humans who are in the hobby now vs 5 years ago.
But I will say this; guys like Collectible guru/ collectors and investors who have that distinctive personality ( in my opinion) are actually helping legitimatize the hobby of Pokémon Cards ;and boost value and expand the Pokémon network to a different marketing level that many of us are new to. I’m in the hobby 5 years now and I can’t believe and process how fast we’ve reached this big ass bubble … and it’s real guys.
I believe the market can or will drop a few points and than come back up … but i think the price market will never be where it was 4-8 months ago ( I’m talking on base set / shadowless cards)
Also, I love my cards!! I would hate to sell them this time around… but at the end of day majority of us are here to collect that long term profitability cash out aka a fat fucking check.
I also predict the 16 base set HOLOs in 7-10
Years time( top tier grades ) can hit a $750k-1Mill price tag. I recently turned 30… have a successful business and from NYC /NJ. And I mention this because at this age and level of life experience you understand why people join a hobby, why they collect , and why they pay too dollar 
… I’ll save this topic for another time. But I think I finally understand why a person(s) can pay 75k or 250k for a single card… 3-4 years ago I couldn’t process that. But after many mistakes and life experiences… you see it !
Anyhow. Let these dudes join the hobby ! It’s fun and interesting to get different egos involved!! You don’t have to like someone but you certainly can respect the hustle and passion they carry. If someone has the Captial and passion , hey! All to you man. Pay to play !!!
