My Bruins took a thrilling game 1 over the Senators while the hated Habs lost to the Rangers 2-0 in Montreal. I love playoff hockey season, there’s nothing else like it in sports. Close to two months of high-intensity hockey.
Post your series picks/team allegiances/general thoughts in this thread! Here’s my bracket:
Yeah I can’t wait for the NFL draft I wonder who my Packers will draft first, I hoping Peppers is available. Im hoping for the Rodgers/Brady Superbowl this year. GOing for the Clippers since i’ve always disliked the lakers lol.
As a DC native for 20+ years, LETS GO CAPS (headed to the game 1 tonight)
Jackets are all hype and if Bob doesn’t stand on his head, they lose. I don’t believe and neither should you, even during their 16 game streak I put them ending in a WC spot. They have no identity.
Allen looked like a machine last night, but Bruce teams always throw everything at net. I see Wild ending up in round 2.
Hate the Rags, but loved them beating Price and the gang and Glass scoring a playoff goal, WHAT?! I think the Habs win out, but the Rangers do have the best away record and their secret weapon…Kreider running goalies.
Sens 1-3-1 is insanely boring, only reason I want the B’s to win. And how about McAvoy’s debut? WOW
McDavid doing McJesus things, but sharks looked the better team. Should be a fantastic series regardless. Talbot and Draisaitl
also looking fine. Hate to go against the CapsEast and Wardo, but I just have this feeling Oilers will pull it out.
Don’t buy the flames either, I think it’ll be close but Ducks will win out in the end (And Tkachuk is a punk)
People sleep on the preds, but if Rinne doesn’t go full wall the Hawks shouldn’t have a problem. Arv is a beast though (Also Forsberg caps history, or lack thereof)
Caps SHOULD win in 5 max against a rookie team with basically 3 NHL D-men. IF Freddy goes full Halak on us, I could see problems. Matthews, Nylander and Marner are studs (Kadri is a punk) but I don’t think they can create the space they need. BUT its the caps and hope for us is nonexistent.
Big prediction is that the Rangers benefit immensely from getting the wild card. Hank finally gets his cup (chances are dwindling fast). Washington exits early as they always do, and the Rangers get two soft matchups against Montreal and Boston. Rangers have to take down only PIT of the 3 division teams who placed ahead of them in reg. season. (They do so in 7 games) Win stanley cup in 7 as well while winning more games on the road than they do at home throughout the playoffs following their strange regular season trend.
