I build up a collection with my most favourite cards. But I would love to have one bigger item in the collection, because I love rare/popular cards and now is the best moment to buy one, because I have already my favourite cards in the collection. I dont know which pretty nice cards/products I could get for around 500-1500$?
I have had many things on my mind 
, but I really dont know much about their value, rarity or valuability … AND there has to be stuff out there I havent seen(Japanese Promos?) Or havent had on my mind.
The things I had on my mind:
GS: Charizard PSA9; Umb/Esp PSA9
1st Base: Hitmonchan PSA9; Venusaur PSA9
Shining: 1st ed Shining Charizard PSA 9
Sealed: Pop Boosters/Sealed vintage Displays and stuff like that.
And of course Japanese exclusive, but I know nearly nothing about them. But those Daisuki Club cards are looking pretty nice 
.
I would love to have stuff like that in my collection and I DONT want to buy something only for getting more money out of the thing in a few years. I would love to see such a card/sealed item in my collection.

at your price range i would go for a psa 9 shadowless charizard or wait a little to add in a bit more and get unlimited sealed base set box 
Both a little bit over my price range but I can think about it ^^ I just dont know if the products go up in value over the time while I safe up some money. I am a young collector (17 years) and I get my money from selling some other stuff that I still have. Very unpredictable when I would have enough money for a 2000-3000 booster box (thats the average price of all boxes I would like to buy

this is 1400 so at the higher end of your price range and an amazing piece of pokemon history but sealed stuff is always on a slow increase unlimited booster box is easy to get as they are pretty much always on eba the others you just have to have the money ready for when becomes available to buy
Just my opinion so take it at that but I would say pick up a 1st Edition Fossil Booster Box for $1500.00. They are very underpriced right now (my opinion) for the value of the PSA 10 fossil cards bring such as Lapras PSA 10 $700+ and Dragonite PSA 10 $500+ and also the rarity of a 1999 1st Edition Print Run.
If you want some vintage japanese product, here are some of the best japanese promos in terms of value/rarity.
- Grand Party card PSA 10 $500
- Fan Club Promos Eevee Holo, Porygon Holo and Shining Magikarp All 3 as PSA 10 would run you over $2000, but less for PSA 9
- Quick Starter Set Holos Arcticuno, Moltres, Zapdos and Scyther
- Natta Wake Birthday Pikachu PSA 10 $500
- Shining Mew Promo PSA 10 $400
Those are all collectable and sought after. You can get a few for your money.
You said yourself that you’re not in it for the money. If that’s the case, don’t worry about what is undervalued/overvalued, just buy whatever card/item you love and will be happy spending up to $1500 on.
