So I went to a flea market again today and found a guy selling some cards.
He said he has a hard time selling his japanese cards and he would sell them for $3.00 each.
Ended up buying 17 NM to Mint cards (all holo). For $3.00 each would you buy them as well?
Bought the Charizard too, but that was $25.00.
Wasn’t my intention to start collecting Japanese stuff really, but its really cool to think these are over 20 years old now and still in pretty amazing shape.
Here are the cards, how did I do? Should I go back and buy the remaining cards?
Awesome! The one english card I bought… the mew… just looked it up and realized its worth 75 cents. He got me on 1 haha.
I picked out all the ones NM to Mint - he had more - But I didnt want to spend 3 dollars each for just “good” condition cards… Unless you guys think otherwise.
As @ssjc replied earlier, $3 per holo is a reasonable price if they aren’t NM, and a good deal if they are. If you start collecting no-rarity base cards, expect to pay significantly more, even when the cards are in less than ideal condition.
All day everyday. I paid that much for a complete set of base set japanese holos. I already had most of them but it was cheaper to buy a complete set than just bits of it.
Cool! Thanks! I guess I didn’t do to badly then. I checked them all out, recased them all… Most of them look pretty good couple have a little edge wear and 1 has a small crease… but over all probably psa 9 quality cards… If I had to guess.
