Hi All,
I have been trying to find information on the 2010 world collection, i only collect english cards and i am looking at trying to get the english pikachu from that set, however i have looked at some of the lists which pikachu collectors have and it says there are two different wants
Japanese World Collection - English
English World Collection - English
Can any one tell me or show me the differences between these cards and how i can identify them when buying.

The other Pikachu has the English back and the other one has Japanese back 
The front of the card should be similar, though the holo pattern can be slightly different. It might be a bit confusing but it’s because the cards released in Japan have a different back than the cards released on the west

@xzini is correct. There are three different 2010 releases: blue in the US, blue in Japanese and green in Japanese.
The US set has the regular English back, and both Japanese sets have the new Japanese back. The different between the two Japanese sets is the packaging color, and the holo color of the Japanese card. The other eight cards, including the US/English one is the same for both Japanese sets.
If I remember I’ll post some pictures when I get home. And if I remember correctly the holo pattern is the same for both the Japanese and English cards of the set, only the back (and therefore thickness of the paper) is different.

I have both sets complete. I bought the Japanese blue set, and all the English cards and Green Japanese card loose.

Is there a set (folder thing) for the english set as well?
Thannk you very much for the pictures this clears everything up so i know which to look for. it looks like if i get the green set i should get the japanese back and then the blue i will have to work something out

Well, both the English and Japanese have a similar blue package if I’m not mistaken. But you can look at the text whether it’s the English or Japanese one. The green one is always Japanese.

Hi jab 2004,
Attached is the Pikachu World Collection both versions. The green one was released first in Japan on July 2010. It is much rarer than the blue one, which was released in the U.S a couple of months later. I only have one copy of the green one and I haven’t opened it yet lol. The blue one I have multiple copies of and is fairly easy to find.
