So I purchased 8 booster packs that were supposedly not weighed(lol) and I did quite bad as expected but I got them for a fair price. The only holo I pulled is a Gyarados in less than ideal shape that does not have 1999-2000 on it. Every other card is 1999-2000 in ALL of the packs.
I think this might be reseals or something shady, but I don’t know for sure. Also this guy literally wrapped them in bubble wrap and threw them in some large plastic bag, no box or anything so some cards have taken a bit of damage.
The only thing I can really blame the seller for at this point is card damage as I specified to have them packed carefully. I’m expecting a partial refund, perhaps he will also refund the Gyarados pack, we shall see.
1/8 packs is very low but if they were weighed you most likely wouldn’t see any holos. The Gyarados in 9 is worth a fair bit right now.
if there was damage visible on the outside of the packs then your best bet would have been to return them then (before opening them all). Sorry about your luck
The seller has a few feedback of packs not being weighed so I took a chance I’d get at least 2 4th print holos graded 9 or so, but this was more of a gamble and wanting to open the packs really. I know I could have kept 1 of each artwork to resale or whatever.
The Gyarados is not a 9. I can confirm that much, and it’s the standard version not 4th print. Probably a $5-10 card best case scenario.
Take a look at the back of the pack under the flap. Where is the “Made in…” from?
But as others have said you aren’t guaranteed 1999-2000 holos in those packs. On top of that it’s been my experience that most the 1999 holos that come out of those packs are cut for shit and often have edge nicks.
