Pokemon Charizard Collection currently on eBay

Hey all,

So I stumbled across an auction on ebay of a Charizard collection with every english variation of the zards - the first of this I have seen for while. Still new to the forum so not 100% sure if I’m allowed to post links so I won’t here but if you search for it on ebay you should be able to find it on the UK site, currently sitting at £560. I’m by no means an expert but the conditions of the cards don’t look to great on some of them and I’m quite surprised the auction has reached that height in such a short space of time.

Anyone have any thoughts on this and what you think it is worth? (If this should go into the other sub forum of card prices feel free to move it thanks)!

Missing at least thick stamp 1st edition and grey stamp so not complete in my eyes :wink:

‘I really don’t want to sell them but being 27 now I’m looking to buy my first house soon and this sale will help towards the deposit! However if they don’t sell for what I want I’ll keep hold of them as I’m sure the prices will only increase in the future!’

The auction has a reserve price…and not a shill-bid reserve price, an actual eBay reserve price. It’s all good!

I didn’t spend a lot of time on this so double check by searching for “sold” listings on ebay, but just my first impressions:

The 1st ed. is in PSA 4 range, so $425 - $450
Shadowless is EX to NM PSA 6-7, so $90
Base regular $30
UK print $70-$80 (few of this around)
Base 2 $25
Holo legendary $30
Reverse legendary $80-$90
Regular legendary $13

I see $ $700 to $750 USD value :blush:

Haha damn it’s past that already and reverse isn’t met! Pretty sure it’ll go for a lot more since it’s a UK auction but definitely won’t be worth what it sells for thats for sure.

I wouldn’t disagree with you on almost all of those, but you can’t get any 1st edition charizard for 100$

Do y’all all actually think the cards are worth about 300 bucks haha? I know they ain’t in tip top shape, but UK prices man…

Honestly if I had $1000 in my pocket to spend and I saw these in a garage sale, I wouldn’t go past $100 for all of them.

personally I would only be willing to go for the 1st edition charizard alone. yeah it is in rough shape, but I’m not a mint collector. At the very worst I would be able to resell it pretty easily and with some profit.

at the price this guy has that collection at though, I don’t think anyone should bite

i HAD THE MOST PERFECT bLastoise 1st ed shadowless and some others, about 7 and they were mint 9. I sold them when i started grading, when many possibills opened up… and so I could pay back sestra for getting that psa 10 1st ed shaodlwess zard… but man ohh man, The blastoise should have been a 10, and was pack fresh from this dude who opened from 13 packs he got and I sold for 300 :unamused: … now there going for 800USD mint 9 :unamused:
