The first two charts are an accumulation of data compiled from public eBay sales and confirmed private sales. The last two charts source data from License Global, Nintendo and TPCI.

Maybe the dips are private sales outside of eBay fees. Not sure since we don’t have the individual sale points info
I don’t have a graded Charizard yet so I think that makes you a villain in my world.
Hopefully at some point @jkanly can indicate which points on the chart are private sales vs. ebay sales. Don’t wanna be pushy though haha.

There’s absolutely no way the delay between the POGO release and the boost in the price is related to people losing interest in GO, and then turning to the TCG. Absolutely no way. I’d say it’s much more likely a 5minute segment on a show with a core audience aged 50+ prompted all the people who never even were into Pokemon to begin with to just suddenly get into the TCG because they saw a 5minute segment on a show. I mean, even the YouTube video almost cracked 2m views. That’s almost as much as Pewdiepie’s latest videos, which is 14hours old.

Actually, along with many others, a Facebook collectors group copied the Pawn Stars segment on their site and it received 10 Million views. And that’s only one lol.
10 Million Views on Facebook is legitimately low. Since most users did not turn off auto-play, just scrolling by the video will give it a view. This is why YouTube videos, which receive only a couple of million views, will have 100s of millions of views on FB.
