just post your pixel art of pokemon and have fun (:
(it has to be your own work of art no stealing)
i’ll start
Pixel is art is a great throwback to the video games most of us started with, looking forward to creations from other members (pokemon related or not)!
Is there any particular program you used?
That’s an interesting thread for sure, you’re quite skilled! Awesome work.
Unfortunately being in a collectors’ forum I don’t think you’re going to find many members ready to draw in that style, or share their artwork without preparation. It could be funny to see though! Also, there’s the E4 art contest if you’re interested in seeing other members artworks, or participate.
These are some tilesets I drew in Game Boy style, for an imaginary new pokemon world. Maybe in the future I’ll try something more complex like characters or Pokemon.
That’s very green.
This Is very gameboy themed
Would a Fan Form of an existing Pokémon count?
I’m gonna say it does sooooo here’s a Feraligatr from way back when (My take at least) it’s eyes are Gold and Silver :3
I use a online pixel art program called Piskel its simple and good for beginners (like me lol) https://www.piskelapp.com/

did’t think this silly little pixel art idea would actually get any replies thank you so much im so happy i got to see people that love pixel art and pokemon
You know it kinda looks like a gen 1 sprite :3
It was, like 8 or 16 bit music, a real talent and amazing accomplishment by the creators.
This brings me way back … I used to be really into making pixel art / sprites a decade and a half ago (when I was in my early teens). The original files are long gone, as is the small pixel art forum I was active on. Whatever image hosts I used to post my work are long since defunct. All I’m able to find now are these few scraps of Pokémon sprites I uploaded directly to an apparently still active site; I’m surprised they held up this well, considering I was a kid making these pixel by pixel in MS Paint!
This was more challenging than I thought it would be. Here’s a shiny gyarados sprite from yellow version:
I call it “Pikachu and Pokéball”
On the canvas, a Pikachu and a Poké Ball are presented in a simplified representation, inviting the viewer to reflect on the relationship between nature and technology. The simplicity of the forms and the reduced color palette create a sense of purity and essentiality, allowing the viewer to focus on the essence of the scene.
The Pikachu, with its innocent expression and relaxed posture, symbolizes the connection with nature and spontaneity. Its presence in the painting evokes the idea of freedom and joy, reminding us of the importance of maintaining a connection with the natural world.
On the other hand, the Poké Ball, with its geometric shape and smooth surface, represents technology and human intervention in nature. Its presence in the painting generates a tension between the naturalness of the Pikachu and the artificiality of the Poké Ball, inviting the viewer to reflect on the relationship between humanity and the environment.
The simplification of forms and the reduction of the color palette can also be seen as a critique of contemporary society, which often focuses on complexity and sophistication. The painting suggests that, sometimes, simplicity and essentiality can be more powerful and meaningful than complexity and ornamentation.
Furthermore, the relationship between the Pikachu and the Poké Ball can be seen as a metaphor for the relationship between the individual and society. The Pikachu, as an individual, finds itself in an environment that is influenced by technology and human intervention, represented by the Poké Ball. This can be seen as a reflection on how society can influence the freedom and individuality of the individual.
In summary, the painting of a simplified Pikachu and Poké Ball is a work that invites the viewer to reflect on the relationship between nature and technology, freedom and human intervention, and individuality and society. Through simplicity and essentiality, the painting reminds us of the importance of maintaining a connection with the natural world and reflecting on our relationship with the environment that surrounds us.
You captured the sky perfectly
Sin palabras!
He’s a loathsome, brutish beast. Yet I can’t look away
