A metal case called the “Pokemon TCG Treasure Tin” will be released in November to celebrate the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire! Each treasure tin will come with five booster packs, three holo Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip “preview cards,” a coin, two sticker sheets featuring Legendary Pokemon (likely Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon), a mini-album to store cards, a Pokemon notepad, and four pencils with unique Pokemon designs.
Seems pretty redundant. Especially the “preview cards”… like, this isn’t a new Generation that we needed to be previewing new cards of old Pokemon. Just pull an Emerging Powers and drag up the Starter lines from the February set if some ORAS promotion is necessary.
I love the tin actually, but considering everything that will be included, the price tag will probably stop me from buying a tin that I’ll never really use.
These lines to get first dibs in the ORAS sets or else I will riot (especially if they’re passed up for more Starmie, Lapras, etc. cards):
Azurill and Wynaut – I don’t care that they’re dead set against using Baby Pokemon right now. These two last appeared in DP BASE SET for god’s sake.
Barboach and Whiscash – Barboach last appeared in Mysterious Treasures. Whiscash in the Platinum block.
Zigzagoon, Linoone, Clamperl, Gorebyss, Huntail – Great Encounters. I’m sure Zigzagoon and Linoone will probably be in the first ORAS-based set though since they’re the super common vendor trash line of Hoenn.
Anorith, Armaldo, Regice, Registeel – Legends Awakened. Even though their counterparts (Lileep/Cradily and Registeel) appeared in the BW era.
Mudkip, Marshtomp, Swampert, Meditite, Medicham, Corphish, Crawdaunt, Chimecho – Supreme Victors. Obviously the Mudkip line is all but confirmed.
Wingull, Pelipper, Gulpin, Swalot – Arceus. Wingull and Pelipper, like Zigzagoon and Linoone, are pretty sure bets.
There’s others I’d like to see but these are the Hoenn Pokemon who last appeared in DP or Platinum, so make them happen, PCL!
