I’ve had this thread idea in mind for a while but just never decided to make it. What Pokemon do you think peaked with their rookie cards? As in (money aside), which rookie card art surpasses all subsequent arts for that species?

I would say the card has multiple rookies.

Look at the Japanese release to break the tie, sometimes there are 2 rookie cards in the English set but Japanese had different sets or promos

Hard pass on T17 Typhlosion. There are so many other better looking Typhlosion cards, and you said it’s not about money.
