I don’t say this to act like English/Japanese set cards are rare at all (spoiler: they’re not) and discard any of this, but I’m curious how many of the huge number of cards are energy cards. I mean, every single ETB has 45 energy cards per box, every booster pack is 1 per, theme decks, etc.

I think they need to rethink what they print and how the products are delivered.
I like the art on the cards and only buy singles, but it does bother me how much wastage there is for international. So much unnecessary packaging that immediately goes into the bin.
Do code cards really need to be printed? Do we need collection boxes with few packs and even more plastic?
What’s so impressive about 43m cards when 99% are cards that most of the audience treats like trash?
