Before the rises a fairly consistent price was 5k. I’d think you’d be looking at minimum 7.5-8k in this market, but 1st ed base is not my area of expertise so that price is just personal conjecture given market trends!
I get offers for mine, and the best offers always seem to move with the price of an unlimited box…so much so that I consider now the unlimited box price to be the value of a heavy 1st ed base pack. 4thstartcg was right they were around 5k (around price of base unlimited box) but the offers are now around 8k-10k - which makes sense because that is what a base unlimited box is now.
Thanks that is quite a useful comparison. In the spirit of sharing information, I recently listed an unlimited base booster box (fortunately didn’t have to sell it in the end) and I received probably 10 or more offers of £8,000+ ($10,460+), and two highest offers of £9,000 ($11,775+) and it was only listed for 5 days max.
I always tell myself I’ll sell a heavy at a certain price, but am like, there could be a Charizard! I can only echo what everyone has already said. But Something to consider is the uk/Europe can have a premium at times because of import duties. I have a patreon member who bought a box 1-2k over market because he could get it domestically in the EU vs paying import duties.
@smpratte agreed, I had them valued at around £7250 I think. I was quite shocked how many offers at the high end I was receiving. The kicker is it was listed for £9500 so some of them weren’t far off and could have just pulled the trigger, I think I even threw out several £9000-£9400 counter offers however circumstance changed and I pulled the listing. I thought it was a good demonstration of sometimes needing to just seize an opportunity while it is there in front of you.
As for the packs, they give me nightmares thinking of how to deal with them. I’ve held onto all my base packs for years but I still don’t really know what I will do with them when the time comes. Import duty felt like a huge obstacle for me even in 2015, at todays prices particularly for boxes it’s more like a road block. If the UK can get a trade deal with the US and Japan it will be YUGE.
No, blisters are less than a heavy, since you can’t guarantee anything . They are very hard to weigh (you basically can’t unless you get them straight from a case) I recently sold one for 4K, depending on condition, packart I’d say they are between 3-4.5k
When I was in India for a bit in 2018, I bought a few things and the import duties were nuts, even higher than EU I think. I’m glad I don’t live there long term or I’d never be able to buy a single Pokémon item…
