Price Check: 1st edition base set non-holo set PSA 10

I’m not able to get to a price. how much does this non-holo set worth?

Thanks!

@justinpokemon2, its really worth whatever something is willing to pay for said item, coupled with the prices of the cards it includes. You could check ebay recently sold prices alongside whats around currently and gauge it better that way which is probably your best bet.

I also think theres a website for helping with this as well, but i typically just go by the way i mentioned prior.

that would be one way to do so, but some cards didn’t sell for months. also, take Dragonair as an example. I saw people offering 1250 for it… which is higher compared to the price from pokemonprice.com a month ago. It just seems to be difficult to get a good estimate… @dizzle24,

While that can happen, which you are experiencing, thats just typically how this market of cards works. While the data isnt there as of recent, if a card is listed and it seems to high then that would be on you to decide whether or not youd be willing to go that distance for it. If not, you could to see something more suitable, but if theres only one choice around then that would be it until something new comes along.

All and all, it takes time and patience to go through these reigns and i understand the hard nature of it all, but its really an is what it is type of a situation.

A complete non-holo set sold via PWCC a couple of months ago for just over 10k. Personally I thought that was a good deal for the buyer. I saw there was also a recent sale on IG. I don’t know the exact amount, but I assume it was more than 10k based on the asking price of 13-15k.

@surfnsnow, thanks, buddy. Around 14k would be a good estimate, even tho it would be higher if sold individually.

@justinpokemon2 , No problem! One more thing to consider, which I forgot to mention, is what constitutes a complete set? Does it include Yellow Cheeks, Red Cheeks or both Pikachus?

both of course! @surfnsnow,

A complete non holo set without the red cheeks sold for around 14k on IG a few weeks ago.

I actually updated the values for each card in the set only yesterday for my own purpose and I can tell you that I make the non-holo total price to be £12,865 which is $15,960. I was a little conservative with my valuations too in many cases so it could probably cost you more than that to buy them individually.

For what it’s worth, for as long as I have been following this it has always been cheaper to buy all the non-holos (all 87 of them) at once if you can find it. These sellers are hoping to get full value (or close to it) while saving time in shipping everything out but they don’t realize how much money they are leaving on the table by selling the complete set rather than individually.

So if you can find a complete non-holo set available I would definitely go for it.

Thanks! Very valuable information!

That PWCC price was a steal even before the recent spikes–I was sad I missed out on it. It really does seem like generally you can get better prices (and save a lot of trouble) by buying the set together. It’s what I did anyway.

@xuzu, I recently added up prices as well and came up with a number pretty close to what you did. It was also a conservative estimate (i.e., I estimated based on what I thought were low prices that would probably be pretty hard to get). Realistically, it would probably be a decent amount higher to put together.

Non holos are delayed. Some of the sale prices are from when packs were $500 ages ago. I pulled most of my listings and/or raised prices.

Maybe, I wouldn’t go too mad though I would expect to be able to buy every non-holo for that fairly comfortably with some patience.

Yup, lass has sold for $1600 a week ago
