Hey, I have this severely miscut ancient mew. You can even see the line where the cut was supposed to be made and where the new card starts. There’s also visible black dots for what I assume is positioning. Just curious if there’s even a market for this stuff. Thanks.
The market for miscut cards is small and mellow. Most collectors view miscut cards as undesirable and defective, so they’re difficult to sell.
Occasionally they’ll sell at a premium if they are especially crazy or one of a kind but this doesn’t strike me as one of these times.
I’d disagree that most pokemon collectors see miscuts as undesirable and defective. Miscuts in pokemon are very rare which I think makes most collectors think they are interesting even if they don’t collect them. If you are talking sports, then you are for sure right. I don’t usually seek out miscuts, but I will buy them when I find them because I think they are neat. If I saw this mew on eBay, then I’d easily pay double the price of a normal sealed mew.
Not true at all.
@braud001 If you’re looking to sell the card or get a better idea of what people would be willing to pay for it, you’ll have better luck with the Facebook group “Pokémon TCG: Gotta Misprint 'Em All”. If you can get a picture of the offset portion of the card’s front you’ll probably get more interest, but there are for sure people that are interested as-is.
