Hello! I am quite new to all this, but curious, $3500.00 for full collection of base set, jungle & fossil, does that sound steep or a good deal?
Most the cards seem to be PSA 7’s or 8’s at best (i’ll save you all from sending every image)… some of the fossil’s holo’s are 1st edition but none of the base set/jungle ones are 1st.

Haunter 1st
Hitmonlee 1st
Hypno 1st
Lapras 1st
Raichu 1st
As well about half the commons/uncommons from fossil are 1st edition.
I looked up every card what they recently sold for on pokemonprice and if they’re all 7’s, it seems to get to about $4000.00usd in value.
But I assume having these all in a complete set makes them worth a bit more? Maybe i’m wrong.
On paper it seems like a good buy, but I see full collections have gone on Ebay for like $1500… but it’s hard to tell the quality of any of the cards in the pictures I could find…
Just wondering if this is a good/bad purchase based on the limited info I provided above.

Yeah I think base unlimited sets are around $1000 these days, and I just passed by a fossil set for $400 obo this morning. Don’t think jungle sets are $2k
@raichufan, really depends on the condition of the heavy hitters (base charizard, blastoise etc.), so I would definitely ask for a lot of photos of those. However, it’s impossible for us to make the decision if it is a good buy for you, too many variables. Personally, I would look at the condition and prices of the most valuables cards, add them up, and see how close it brings you to the asking price of $3500.
