Prices of Modern Loose Booster Packs

Heya all,

just been catching up on some of the threads about modern and in turn caused me to check up some of these “modern/ultra modern” booster pack prices.

Based of cardmarket prices for lowest pack price with shipping. I was a little bit surprised.

Shining Legends - €22
Ultra Prism - €13.50
Celestial Storm - €19
Dragon Majesty - €40
Lost Thunder - €13.99
Team Up - €40
Unbroken Bonds - €16.99
Unified Minds - €19.90
Hidden Fates - €14.99
Cosmic Eclipse - €11.50

I get these sets are 5-7 years old but with the terrible pull rates and raw near mint/mint & graded supply out there, I struggle to see who would pay these prices to open them or to buy art sets for ones personal collection.

Does anyone have any experience selling loose packs etc from eras like SM, XY and even as far back as B&W and HGSS eras?

In my experience, if you slightly undercut the market these packs can sell quickly, but if you are asking for market rate or higher, they sometimes take a while to actually sell.

Specific set matters as well. For example, Evolutions sells faster than Sun and Moon base.

I had a good chunk of loose packs from S&M (and SwSh) that I sold over the last couple years.

I sold them locally to avoid weighing/reseal stuff, and even selling locally had a ton of questions on where I got them from, and if they were weighed. Had people outright tell me I was a liar because I said I didn’t weigh burning shadows packs :man_shrugging:

I still have some S&M packs left, but do not look forward to eventually having to sell them with that buyer rhetoric
