I was going through some of my old pictures on my phone and I came across some that I took at Gencon last year. I believe this was at Dave and Adam’s Card Worlds stand. It’s crazy to see where prices where in August of last year and where they are now. Thought it would be fun to share with you guys.

The images got mega compressed. I can zoom, but I can’t see them in full quality so zooming just makes it worse.

Use imgur to upload the pics, as tapatalk compresses and resizes the pics sadly.

Man it would be cool just to see a booth like that somewhere. I visited DA card worlds physical store last year and was kinda bummed, only product on display was modern singles.

I came so close to buying that complete PSA 9 first edition base set they had for $15k. Just couldn’t pull the trigger…
Definitely wish I’d picked up some more stuff.

Are cards cheaper to acquire there as opposed to online? e.g. ebay, mercari, IG and so on. I guess the advantage is being able to look at the cards in person. I’d go broke in that place…

I used to markup at cons, as do most vendors. You need to equate your travel expenses and table rental into the prices (some might not but most do)

Yeah looking back at those prices you can easily see how underpriced anything under a 10 was
