Print line and scratch

how much do print lines affect a gem mint or mint? And small scratches visible only by warm but not cold light and only centein angle? Thanks

Normally one grade but not always

I haven’t observed print lines or small scratches on any of my PSA 10 holos before. If you observe both in your own card, I would think it’s very unlikely that your card will be graded a PSA 10.

A card could potentially have a print line and tiny scratches on the holofoil and still receive a grade of PSA 9 if everything else about the card was fantastic and the aforementioned flaws weren’t too bad.

That’s the best I can give you if you’re not going to provide photos.

There are not my card but in ebay I see that the card have this big problem! You are agree?

Are you saying that you notice that graded cards have these flaws or that many ungraded cards being sold have these flaws? Do you have an example of what you’re talking about?

each print line makes the card go down 1 grade. sorry boss

I have several Holos that have one print line, otherwise they would be flawless.

They’re all 9s

You guys collecting the super rare factory print line “errors” too? hehe jk. I have some virtually flawless cards with the print line that are 9’s. PSA seems pretty consistent on them from what I’ve heard. I think most 10’s are void of scratches though I’ve seen some have very minor ones. The 9’s you get into a bit more elbow room. I have a PSA 9 Nidoking that was double teamed by a Meowth and Scyther.

Print lines are the biggest reason why some psa 10 cards are worth more than others or harder to get. The neo genesis Lugia is notorious for print lines so it commands a high price and low pop. Same for the typhlosion in the set with silver holo pattern. #17 I think.
