PSA 1-10

I know that someone here was collecting charizards in psa grades 1 to 10…sorry forgot who!

My question is: is it possible to deliberately crinkle a card to the extent that you know which grade it will get? I can’t see how grades 1-7 would work.

If anyone has examples of different grades at the low end, I’d be interested in seeing them.

Thanks.

Still haven’t got access to a scanner for the 7-10 grades :slightly_frowning_face:

That feel when you scratch and bend a card just right to get that 2, but it comes back a 3…

They should offer a service. $10 extra charge to add the necessary wear to a card to make it a lower condition if needed. $10 per grade drop.

A PSA 2 seems to be the hardest to get, swear I’ve never seen one on Ebay

PSA2 is all about appeal. A totally trashed card can still hit PSA2 if the iconic image is still there. But, just a bit to much (or to little) damage and you hit 1 or 3.

I have owned a couple in the past and graded one myself. I have seen them come up more than 3’s personally, but the pop report shows 13 of each. Only 2 PSA 1 1st edition zards which is a little surprising that it is that low. I mean I have seen some that would easily be 1’s sell raw for ~$150+ so you think somebody would spend the $10 or so to grade it.
