I inquired about price boost of this specific card in another Skyridge topic. Crazy to think multiple of these were hovering on ebay for ~$200 couple years ago, ofc. it would be smart to wait few days/weeks to see if sale actually happened.

I love Ho-Oh but this card in particular has never appealed to meā€¦imo the art actually looks terrible. I can understand why some people would want to pay a high price to complete their Skyridge set, but as an individual card going for that kind of a priceā€¦eek. :zipper_mouth_face:

That said, I do know a LOT of people that have been looking to buy this card, so this sell price is probably legit and is the start of a new norm.

Exact opposite opinion here, I think the Ho-Oh is the best of the crystal arts :blush:

Weā€™ll agree to disagreeā€¦I only see this card as being a good piece of art in that endearing way that some of the Arceus Japanese illustration contest cards done by elementary school kids are considered ā€œartā€ (and I might love Arceus cards more than anyone alive). :stuck_out_tongue:

Just curious, anyone have a good idea what PSA 10 Crystal Charizard is worth? The only ended auctions I can find is a PWCC auction that sold for $180 back in 2012 lol :blush:

Iā€™d say it should fetch at least 2k, the last graded one sold for 1685 USD but I think that was quite low. We have been seeing ungraded ones that werenā€™t able to be 10ā€™s go for 1500-1600 USD. I think we will be in for a huge price jump on this card in the near future.

Are the Crobat/Golem/Kabutops/Celebi rising at a rate anywhere near the Charizard and Ho Oh?

Iā€™d suspect the only one that could be is Celebi.

Celebi - yes

The others not nearly as much as you would think. In my experienced the Crobat was always the hardest to find. The others were always available, but it was a matter of if you agreed with the price or not

Hey guys, I donā€™t mean to hijack the thread but whatā€™s the pull rate on these ā€˜Crystalā€™ cards? 1-2/box or itā€™s even scarcer than that?

Looks like the Charizard is already heading towards 3k. This is probably a residual effect of all the big Charizard cards in PSA 10 shooting past $2k recently - e.g. Shining Charizard, Legendary Collection, Gold Star, Unlimited Base, etc.
Ho-oh, I believe, has a low pop PSA 10 so it is also ascending rapidly.
Lugia, one of my favorites, is going for around $1-$1.4k as PSA 10.
Nidoking, which introduced me to the crystal genre, is hovering at 500-700 probably.

In general, you donā€™t see many crystals hovering around. Stats for reference only. :blush:
