PSA 9 - English 1st Edition & Shadowless Base Set

Hi

Just need a quick price check  I don’t normally collect English cards, but i would love to own a full set of English 1st Edition Base Set and English Shadowless Base Set in PSA 9

How much would I expect to pay for each set?

Many Thanks
Mohsin

I think the average was $11k for the 1st ed and $3500-$4000 for the Shadowless if you piece each one out.

EDIT: Sorry that was just for the holo set. I think another $2.5k-$3k for 1st ed non-holos and $1k-$1.5k for Shadowless non-holos

Thanks!

I would think the average for 1st ed base would be around the 14-16k mark.
Non holos: 3k
Charizard: 5500
Blastoise and Venusaur: 2000
Other 13 holos: avg. 400= 5200, avg 350= 4550

I recently completed a set of 16 PSA9 1st Ed. holos and my grand total adding all the holos was U$S11.250; i was also considering on buying a complete non-holo set that is (or was) up for sale on both eBay (for 2700) and through instagram for 2500 but didnt pull the trigger.

Wich ends up around U$S13.750 for a complete PSA9 Set 1st Ed. i english.

That’s pretty close to the estimation I came up with a few months ago when I started collecting the PSA 9 1st edition. Based on current sale prices and bids at the time, my estimate was around 15k (USD).

Buying the full set in one go is usually 16-20k. Pokemonprice has the current cost at 16k. Of course that can vary with time, effort and luck.

Select the set and grade and it gives you a quick total.

$12,500-$13,000 from my experience. I recently bought a 1st edition set minus the Charizard for $7,500. A Charizard would be about $5000-5500 on top of that.

This seems like a discount considering what other people said in this thread, which is clearly true when you look it up on recent eBay sales.

Charizard: $5000-5500
Blastoise: $1000
Venusaur: $1000
Machamp (Shadowless): $100
Other holos: range from $300-700 (call the average $450) x 12 = $5400

That’s already $12,500-13,000 *for just the holos*.

So as a seller, if you’re telling me I’m only getting $12.5-13k for a complete set, then screw that I’d just sell holos as singles and then the non-holos as a set.

There’s always outliers. I’m sure there are people like Snorlax who found good/great deals and there are people who paid on the higher end of the spectrum. It seems pretty easy to say $13k-$17k is the sweet spot based on effort and patience
