I want to send in some Pokemon Energy cards to PSA to authenticated as PSA do not recognise them to be part of the Korean base Set.
I know they do custom encapsulation which has a green border around the PSA label but i have also seen an authenticated PSA card that has a red border around the PSA label. Example below:

From these services, which one do i choose? I assume it is the second one but just want to be 100% sure before sending the cards in. Thank you
I think, and someone correct me if I’m wrong, that PSA will not authenticate the Korean base set energy cards. If they were not going to grade them as they were due to the lack of Korean text, they will not authenticate (even without a grade) them due to a lack of proof that they are from the Korean base set. It’s annoying, but I think that’s their official stance.
Use the first one, in the notes section write Authenticate Only.
I’m not sure what you’re trying to accomplish though. The authenticate only still goes through the same process to grade a card, they just don’t assign a value to the cards condition. They still won’t put the label you want on the card if you want them to label it as Korean.
You are guys are right. Now that i think about it, i’ve sent the cards in 3 times but came back as not graded.
I’ve pretty much got the whole 1st Edition Korean Base Set in PSA 10 apart from the Charizard holo and the Energy cards.
Looks i may have to send them in for custom encapsulation.
Its a shame really as one of my Korean water energy cards slipped through the net and actually got labelled correctly lol
Oh wow! Do you have a picture of that we could see? That might be the only one for a long time (unless you get another few to slip through.) I wonder if there’s any way you could ever convince them haha.
@dipzy can’t you just grade them and get them labeled as English or whatever they will label them as? I mean that’ll at least match the red label and ensure the cards are PSA 10’s that you add to your collection. Just print out a little sticker that you can slap over the faulty title to make it what it should be. Seems like a better option than the green label service that won’t even give a grade.
And here is Psychic and Fighting energies, also pulled from 1st Edition Korean Base Set packs, graded as English PSA 10 1st Edition cards.

@gottaketchumall I’m going to go with your suggestion and send them in as english cards. I’l just print out a tiny Dymo label saying Korean and stick it on the PSA slab lol
