PSA Autograph Series starts witnessed sig slabs

Seems PSA is doing witnessed signatures, similar to how CGC and BGS does it, which is really nice. First signer is the voice of Goku. Is anyone gonna send in a Lucario??

I just saw this email! This would be a dream for Pokémon artists!

I’ve always thought cgc should have put substantial resources towards an Arita witnessed signature event. Would be cool if either them or PSA did it. I think most people here would pay a hefty premium to not have to deal with IG flippers, or to travel across the world and wait in line for hours

i think this would be so chaotic unless they put some sort of limit or the price is so obscene. coz otherwise i can see ppl sending in like a million items

Great idea, but I’m annoyed that they won’t authenticate the card. I want my cards authenticated and I would feel most comfortable buying/selling cards with the dual service. These blue labels inherently make buyers weary of the cards’ authenticity, and it doesn’t look nearly as cool in my opinion.

thats a great point if you want the red label you’ll have to do the cross afterwards adding to the cost  might still be worth it if they can get super in demand names like the pokemon artists in the future

Very cool idea for people like me living miles away from any signing locations. Will need to keep an eye on this

Nothing beats a in person artist event, to me at least the interaction is more exciting and memorable than the items you leave with signed. However, I’m a big fan of these events. Send-ins are a painless way if you don’t have the option to travel to an event. I’ve utilized send-ins for the majority of my Star Wars collection provided by various different companies.

Got an email for the next iteration of the PSA Autograph Series earlier today.

Robbie Daymond, probably best known for Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, but (maybe) more relevant here as Professor Willow in the Two Professors shorts in 2018.

Unlike the first one with Sean Schemmel, dual grading (red label) is available for $99. The blue label auto authentication only is $65. Items must be received at PSA by March 14.

Wow idk how I missed this thread. Yeah i got like 10 things signed by Sean Schemmel lol. I, uhm, did not get Lucario cards signed(I did think about it, but consider my pfp is a dragonball character). A couple are gonna be gifts for some of my friends that are much bigger dragonball fans than me, despite what said pfp might suggest.

Def want some pokemon artists too but I figured getting cards like Leader Goku (set #1, card #1) and promo #1(also Goku ofc) of the Fusion World game signed by his VA might have value some day too.

HOWEVER

I figure I should mention it, they kinda did what my old man would call a “slop job”. I hope the service improves in the future. They didn’t honor any requests for personalization in my notes, color of marker(they mentioned metallic ones would be available, but then made the decision to use white on a mostly white card…), and the highest rarity textured card I had came by looking like smeared makeup. Maybe I’m the fool for thinking textured cards would work well. Kinda feel I deserve a heads up if this is how one was coming back. I feel the value is lowered afterwards. Not like its an expensive card or anything but, cmon… take a look.

So fair warning for the future… quality control was not there. I’ve heard Sean Schemmel can be a bit of a jerk sometimes, maybe he is more to blame. But still, I’d be wary of sending in anything too precious just yet, and probably avoid textured cards. I’m probably going to contact them for a credit or something… Since they didn’t personalize any, I guess I just keep that one for myself.

This owns pretty fuckin’ hard tho

Hope it’s better in the future. Got like, no updates on the dashboard regarding the status of the order and it took a bit to get back. I’m happy I got them signed, but wasn’t very impressed with the service given the cost.

On the other hand, seeing all these promotions and marketing emails(“submit your puppy pokemon” today) has me feeling like I should invest in collector’s universe… they’re going after it hard.
