Hey guys I bought this psa 10 clefable. Pictures didn’t show the case cracked. The seller says it wasn’t cracked when he shipped it. Any ideas on what I should do?
I’m going to send it off to get reholder it obviously, but I’m not sure I should have to take the liability In case the card is damaged.
Thats what shipping insurance is for, hope he got some.
Nice of you to offer to reholder it off your own dollar. But im sure you have a right to request a refund if you wanted. I cant imagine many would disagree with that.
Seller should offer to pay for it to get recased. If you’re worried about damage, carefully crack it open and inspect it. If damaged just return, if not just resend.
The grade is not guaranteed now either from what I understand. Any time there is a crack over the surface of the card, PSA has to regrade the card to ensure that no damage was done to the card due to the crack/damage of the case. Therefore there is certainly risk of sending it back in to PSA for re-holder that it doesn’t stay a 10.
What happens if the seller pays for the these fees and shipping and then the card comes back a 9?
It’s the seller’s responsibility to get you exactly what you ordered, in the condition it was advertised as being in. Return the card if you don’t want it.
I dont think this is the care for every cracks, for example if you get a crack on the top thats not even affecting the card; will fetch you the exact same grade. But im not certainly sure, maybe @kingpokemon knows.
Definitely have the seller compensate you for the cost to get it put in a new case. They will crack it out to make sure the damage to the case didn’t cause damage to the card which it looks like in your scenario it didn’t.
If all he did was put it in a bubble mailer that is not adequate packaging in my opinion. You need at least a slab of cardboard on each side of the psa case.
