PSA corrected my submission input. Double holo error? Label Switcheroo

I got a submission back and found out PSA switched labels on 4 (2 pairs) of my cards.
I will post a picture later of those.

But because of that I decided to quick check some other submission who are now at PSA.
Seems I missed something called a double holo error.
I have no clue how that looks like, but what I entered as normal holo is now called double holo error.
Good? Bad? Teach me about this please?

They are in the assembly stage now.

2001 POKEMON NEO REVELATION 7 HO-OH-HOLO DOUBLE HOLO ERROR
2001 POKEMON NEO REVELATION 65 SHINING GYARADOS-HOLO DOUBLE HOLO ERROR
2001 POKEMON NEO REVELATION 66 SHINING MAGIKARP-HOLO DOUBLE HOLO ERROR

Also the switcheroo is something weird.

While looking at those last 2 I see there is perhaps another mislabeled one among them.
Will got through them soon to see if I can find a Dutch one labeled as English one.

Found the third one involved in the switcheroo.
Looks to me somebody dropped my pile of Pikachu and reordered them without looking.

The Double Holo Error is a good thing, It increases value in my experience and their holofoils look more popping. Best noted on Houndoom, Ho-Oh and Misdreavus.

Sucks that PSA switched some labels around it does impact the process of selling a little…

That Pikachu labelling is absolutely abysmal, holy cow. Things like this are what really make me reconsider submitting anything to PSA. Do they not have any quality control? It’s so easy to see that they mislabeled a 1st edition, at the very least???

:raised_hand:

I’m one of those Neo Revelation holo bleed (double holo error) collectors. Here are some examples from my collection.

Notice how these look different from the conventional artworks, where the holo portion of the card is masked by the ink of the background. The images below are not my cards.

As others have pointed out, the holo bleed (double holo error) copies are worth a lot more than the normal copies. It is also worth noting that the 1st edition double holo errors are significantly rarer than the unlimited prints.

We could potentially use a better comparison article with higher quality images

Found 2 more corrections and again I don’t know what they are.
I simply submitted them as normal holo

Sometimes a portion of the holo does not come through the ink as expected. This is what it would look like.

The Corrected Foil variant of the Fossil Zapdos has a starlight holo pattern where the evolution box would be. The Evolution Box Error has no starlight holo pattern where an evolution box would be on a Stage 1 or Stage 2 card.

I’ve talked about the neo revelation double holos with another collector on ig, i could probably ask if he’s willing to share his scans and form an article around that (at least in some time frame) unless someone else is already on it

That’s pretty cool that psa has experienced graders that can identify errors on cards subbed as non-errors. I always thought unless you specify its an error in the submission yourself, you wont get the error designation.

I found out about double holo error from psa changing one of my subs too, and immediately went through my collection to find more like it.

Also PSA published an amazing pokemon “error guide” https://www.psacard.com/info/tcg/pokemon-error-guide
Which talks about errors discussed here as well as many others i had no idea about.
