Why is it that PSA will recognize specific errors like the Butterfree D Edition (in place of 1st edition) and Mew (Nintedo Error) but if you send a Ghost Pikachu, Beedrill (D.efending) from base set or the inverted stamp promo (Pokémon the first movie) they won’t? Is it one of those situations you just get lucky? Case by case? I know BGS does, just wondered why PSA didn’t. I know they currently are taking 68,000 submissions weekly and have a backlog of a mill in the que so I thought maybe it was because they don’t have time.
BGS will label a card however you tell them, they don’t check to see if it’s a legit “error” or not. “You want to call this 1st edition Typhlosion the ‘red dot error’, sure we’ll put that on the label for you. A unique 1/1 variant for sure!”
Is the D.efending Beedrill a real card? I thought that was a fake?
This is from Rustys IG (TCAGaming)
A few months ago I started looking around for this Beedrill after going through the bulpabedia on error cards, but after doing a little research, I thought it led me to a thread on here (could have been reddit) saying it was fake.
Anyways, I have never seen one pop up on eBay, even with an search notifier and google is verrryyy slim with info about it.
@thecharizardauthorty, how did you grab one of these?
A guy in email reached out to me and I remember seeing it in the past but had totally forgotten. I had TNT look through my stock and apparently had one sitting there with the regular Beedrill. I am currently going through some other boxes now in search for more. Who knows… maybe more will pop up. The more info out there about it the more likely you will see them pop up. Before Wartortle became well known I was offering $500 for one - this was when PSA 9 1st ed Zard was under $500
Thanks for the info! Do you plan on sending that one off PSA?
I do - as long as they miss it - maybe a 7
