I sent a package to PSA and it has just been refused delivery… Has this happened to anyone Or does anyone know what the cause might be?
I called Fed ex and they confirmed it was the correct address. I am just worried that the package has been tampered with and that is why PSA refused it.
I’ve heard of PSA refusing delivery if a package appears (key word appears) to be tampered with in any way. This might be something as simple as the tape not looking clean, the box appearing re-used or old, or the box having some minor transit damage.
I’m sure PSA will be in contact and/or the package will be returned to you. Hopefully they let you know what the issue is and it wasn’t any legitimate tampering.
Could be even minor damage to the box. I believe their thinking is: If the integrity of the box is damaged the contents inside could be damaged, so I think they reject receipt in order to avoid liability of a claim that PSA damaged your card.
@fourthstartcg@pokemonpuppy@teraz thanks for your help. It is appreciated! I packed it pretty well so I don’t think it could be damaged and that’s why I’m worried it has been tampered with. I’m guessing that if it was refused there is something immediately wrong with the package
Happened to me and package got sent back to me untampered with very little to no visible damage at all. I think I used an older box so that was probably why. Always use a brand new box and dark/seal proof tape so it’s easier for them to tell if it was tampered with. They claimed my package may have been tampered with and didn’t want to take any responsibility which I understand, but still a huge headache. I know of several other people that this happened to as well in the past few months so I guess they dealt with a huge case of theft from a FedEx employee recently for them to be this cautious now.
Hmmmm thanks. Reading your story does make me feel better about my package. Sometimes it’s hard not to fear the worst but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I’ve encountered this problem once before. I had shipped a registered package through USPS and got this notification from PSA. Apparently somebody had kicked in or stepped on part of the box and the cardboard showed a very large indentation with a break in the material. even though the seal around it was still intact and it didn’t appear as if anybody could have taken anything out, it was rejected. PSA I guess didn’t want to take the risk.
Same thing happened to me back in November. PSA customer service reached out as well about a day or two later and even emailed pictures. Was concerned initially and quite annoying but got the package returned and contents unharmed. Had to resend in new packaging basically.
Yep, damaged package. Had it happen, they will send pictures eventually. They are becoming more strict (or attempting to) based on submission rules about only using brand new boxes among other things. Unless its always been stated like that for 10 years and i’ve just never noticed. Most likely it has a dent or something or some tape is loose, hopefully no big deal.
Firstly, I just want to thank everyone who took the time out to reply.
I got an update. So I contacted PSA and they said it was ‘refused due to having fees and requesting cash on delivery’. It was declared under the threshold so I’m not sure what fees there were. Fed Ex marked ‘receiver’ pays duties so it was changed to ‘sender’. Either way they’re going to attempt delivery again next week…
