Hi guys, please delete this if there already is a thread for this.
I recall that a few honourable members of this forum were making phone calls to PSA in the last week of each month to get an answer on what the upcoming months PSA specials would be.
I wanted to create this thread specifically to note down and track over time what PSA specials are up each month.
It can only be done the day before the end of the month, maybe a day and a half if you are lucky AFAIK. I tried once two days prior and they mentioned they would be finding out after lunch that day.
Thanks for that. I could have sworn some people were finding out around 5 days prior, let’s hope i’m right either way, if/when people find out, share the info here!
The specials are usually available a week ahead of time but very often they change based on mega orders coming in. The day or two before the specials get released or adjusted then released.
The next CC special for ‘modern’ cards that will be listed under $10 won’t be till at least June / July. That doesn’t even factor in a short turn around time. This is due to the excessive amount of new product they currently have awaiting grading and shipping.
Best holding off for another couple of months to save some extra $$

i finally cracked due to the crappy specials as well and send in on a 50 plus bulk order for 8 a card… im not too happy about it but i need my psa fix and more cards i can sell on ebay. im running low on psa sales items haha
I read on a baseball card collector forum that PSA has a $5 per card 50 card minimum special once a year but I’ve been a member for 9 months and have never seen the special.
I attended the “Public Friday” event to drop off a 62 card submission today. The special was $6.50 a card with a 50 business day turnaround. I thought the word drop off would mean I just showed up and dropped the cards off as I would do at the post office but instead they had a line that took an hour to get through because people were there who hadn’t filled out paperwork or even sleeved up there cards. Pretty ridiculous really.
There should’ve been express lines for the people who only needed to drop their cards off with their previously placed orders already printed out.
Thought this might be useful for anyone who plans on attending an event like this in the future.
I think I’ll contact PSA to let them know how I think it should’ve been organized more efficiently. All the PSA employee had to do for me was count my cards and sign the paperwork. Could’ve been a 10 minute gig.
Sounds like the problem isn’t the amount of staff just how they organized the event. Have one staff member make sure people have everything done correctly before they get in line. Pretty simple, how it works at my passport office, paperwork isn’t filled out/missing documents you don’t get in line.
Easy peasy and the only people complaining are the people wasting everyone else’s time.
Yeah they had plenty of staff, maybe 5 or so people for everything but the coins. Coins were separate.
There should’ve been 2 or three of the employees just handling grading submission drop offs. Once I got up to the table it was a three minute thing.
I hope they figure something out, their specials are not catering to a majority of their business. I’m just going to wait until I have 50+ cards to submit for bulk pricing.
