PSA submission package refused!?

We are a group from Norway sending in big “bulks” together to save money.
Today we got an email from psa:

One of my friends contacted psa, they said they just sent it back because it looked like someone had opened and resealed the package. The package was of course opened by the Norwegian and the US customs. It costs a lot the send tracked packages to the US from Norway, we also pay customfees for this. Think its very strange that they just ship it back to us without confirming the package with us… So dissapointed with psa…

Have any of you guys experience with similar things dealing with psa?
(sorry for my english)

PSA doesnt want to deal with it because they don’t want to be responsible for any lost cards or damaged cards. so they will just refuse the package and have it sent back so not be liable for anything.

Thanks for the reply

I completely understand that if the package was damaged, they wouldnt accept it.
But when we called the customerservice, the lady told us it wasnt damaged, but it just looked like it was opened and resealed. They should at least contacting us before shipping it back, so we could confirm that nothing was missing. Now we have to wait 8-10 days to ship the package again, and also pay double shipping/fees…

Also think its strange that psa even consider sending damaged packages back so it can get even worser or losing cards…

Not really that strange when you really think about it. If it was damaged in transit it was in the custody and under the responsibility of the shipping courier (in combination with the shipper/packager). PSA doesn’t want to spend their man hours settling what should be a dispute between your and the courier. If they refuse it and it bleeds out more cards/damages more cards on the return voyage it is no skin off their back. I know they typically throw damaged shipments into a larger box or into a bag to prevent any/further spillage though.

If it was just opened and shut by customs and PSA refused it for that, it really does suck though. I imagine they take in tons of foreign shipments though and see that all the time. If the bums at customs simply did a sloppy job re-taping it, it should be on them, but good luck trying to get any of the multiple governments to take any responsibility on that.

Its all about eliminating any liability for themselves, which i can understand from their standpoint

Thanks for the response guys.

Guess you are right, they dont want any responsibility. Just so frustrating when they just ship it back like this without trying to figure it out with us first.
I know they have a lot to do…

Just hope we get the package back without any cards missing. Have a lot of value in this submission.
We just have to hope for the best and send the cards one more time… I know we wont get the shipping/custom value back…

I’ve had this scenario happen before (I even made a thread here about it).

You will just have to resend it when it comes back.

Moreover, PSA would have taken photo evidence of the damage. So ask for the photos.

USPS takes photos of packages when they scan, so if you contact USPS you may be able to locate at what point it was damaged.

You should consider using Ludkins Collectables service. They insure the cards for full value both directions. So if something like this happens, you’re not out anything but time.

Being in the EU, it just seems like the smartest choice.

You could try having a middleman in the US to send it to PSA for you.

Every single postal service we have here in the U.S. tells us to not accept a package we think is damaged. When we accept we are liable, unless they marked it “damaged”. Which only happens in like 10% of actually damaged boxes.

We have a great PSA service here on efour. You wouldn’t have this problem if you used it. Contact smpratte.

Since you don’t have it back yet it’s hard to speak on it. Let us know the condition when it arrives.

Lastly, I love how Rene spelled “courtesy”. I’ve already sent her an email lol.

Update:
We spoke to psa today because they gave us the old trackingnumber when they sent the package back, and we couldnt find it. They told us to contact usps, and now they are telling us they never recieved the package from psa. We also found out that psa actually signed for the package before sending it back, some dude named Ken signet for it.

]In this case psa is fully responseable for the package, right? They blame the postoffice, and the postoffice blame psa. We told psa that they where responseable for the package because they recieved and signed for it before sending it back. The lady at psa told us she had to speak with “head of security”… Im just so affraid the package will get lost :frowning:

Have you got the original tracking number? If so PM me.

When PSA reject a parcel, it never gets signed for.

Yeah, its the same number you can see on the picture from the email.

Yes he is. I misspoke.
Actually, I just spoke to him today cause I forgot to sign 6 of my 10 sub forms. The older I get, the more I forget lol
