Q about PSA Grading Chain - Glitch?

Pretty simple questions here. I have a number of orders at PSA, most of which are in the R&D part of the chain. However, i have had about 4 of them seemingly skip to assembly. I have not received an email saying they started the grading process for these orders and when i click on them i do not get the option to review order. Rather, the screen is blank (i will attach a picture). I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone in the past and if it is something i should call about or just wait it out.

Have the same thing happening currently on one thru Ludkins… was thinking that it meant it skipped thru the grading so fast it didn’t update but would like some feedback also

Same thing happened to me this morning. Went to bed last night and my order was in Research & ID. Woke up this morning and it’s in Assembly. In the past I’ve seen orders skip from Grading to QA 2 in the same timeframe (overnight).

My best guess is that the “status” is manually updated asynchronously in batches and doesn’t necessarily reflect the most current state of your order. I have no inside information on that, it’s just a guess based on what I’ve observed with my own orders. I suppose it’s also possible that with social distancing they are staggering workers around the clock. Again, just a guess.

Whatever the reason, when I’ve seen these status skips happen, there have been no problems with my order.

Don’t put too much stock in the order status. Its to give you rough info and keep you from sending emails/making calls to customer service.

One time the Domino’s pizza tracker skipped the assembly step and jumped right to being delivered to me :open_mouth:
