Today’s Question: QotD: What is your favorite type of Pokeball?
Helpful considerations: Do you match them to pokemon? To type? Based on bonuses? Cost? Card game effect?
Dive ball, followed closely by the love ball, then premier ball as number 3 for me.
I love all of the apriballs, though- I always thought it was a really neat side quest to collect the apricorns. In the games, I’ve always tried my best to match the pokemon to the ball, at least for the ones I use consistently or competitively. Premier is my go-to if I don’t have anything matching though.
Ultra Ball has been the most common choice for me in games, effective enough in many hunts and contrast between each colour ( yellow, black and white ) is great.

Its hard to pick for me. But I did always feel like the great ball should have swapped with ultra ball, I think its much more pretty. So I think I’ll go with greatball. But I like the Dive Ball, Moonball and Lure ball too. Premier ball is also kind of neat, I tried to catch all my pokemon in premier balls in X and Y because you could easily buy lots of them. Did lots of breeding in X and Y to try and daisy chain over the premier ball. I was dedicated!
To prove my love of the greatball, this is a good chance to show off my original pokewalker all the way back from 2010! yes I did this way back then. I used it too. Never did get my surfing or flying pikachu though. Stupid pikachu forest! Oh well, my dog got lots of walks!
Ah, a classic question with endless possibilities! As much as the Cherish Ball holds a special place due to its exclusivity, my playful side is leaning towards the quirky design of the Love Ball. It’s always fascinating to capture compatibility in style.
To come at it from a different perspective, I’ll say my favorites are some of the balls that have been most relevant to the TCG - quick ball and nest ball!
Pokeballs are one of my favourite parts of Pokemon! I love the variety and catching special Pokemon in a matching ball.
My favourite is the premier ball. In the games, I have a living deck in HOME with every Pokemon (that can be) caught in one.
Luxury ball is a close second though which I love to catch any shiny Pokemon in.
