Question on a Japanese Snorlax

Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help with the Japanese Snorlax cards. I believe there are two versions, first is the Red/Green Gift Set starter Snorlax 1998 No 143 and the other one is the Japanese Vending Snorlax Series 1 No 143.

How are they different? Is it the gloss on the card that’s different? which one is more rare and hard to obtain? The cards look exactly the same and i’m having a hard time telling which one is which. It’s one of favorite artworks(I do enjoy very odd/cute/different artworks on cards and would love to add to my collection one day, just don’t know which one lol Thank you!

The Vending Series cards are glossy, however the easiest way to tell them apart is by the rarity symbol - the Quick starter Gift Set cards have no rarity symbol whilst the Vending Series cards do.

Which one is more rare? Or the reprint per say ?

Neither of them is really ‘rare’. There are probably less of the Gift Set versions in circulation, simply because I’d imagine there’d be a lot less of the boxes printed and sold compared to the Vending sheets. Just get both
