Hello, I am new to the forum. Today I came across a Gym Challenge Box for a good price and purchased it.
After comparing to other boxes, I discovered that my box only has US/CAN written on the bottom compared to the normal box that has many different countries. My first impression is that this box could contain the corrected version of the Blaine’s Charizard card. After looking on eBay. I could not find one alike and noticed that all 1st Edition boxes and all the Unlimited boxes (that I could find) have the various countries stamped on the bottom. This seems to be a very clear sign that this box is of a different variation and could potentially hold the corrected Blaine’s Charizard.
Also, I noticed the Wizards logo is printed on the entire seal, top and bottom. I have two of these boxes, straight from a sealed case. This is interesting…
Please let me know if any of you have come across this or have any additional thoughts and information regarding this (rare) variation of the Gym Challenger series WOTC box.
