Rarest New Back Japanese Cards in the Hobby?

As the title asks what do you think are the top 10 rarest new back Japanese cards ?

I don’t know many of them and some I have seen on here that are crazy rare but no idea of the names of them as some were prize cards and some tournament winner cards

Is it safe to say the Masters Scroll is one of them ? Doesn’t look like many have been graded but hey I’m sure I could be wrong lol

Let me know your opinions on the top 10 :ok_hand:t2:

Depends on how you define “rare.” As I mentioned in a thread awhile ago:

Because of this, it’s impossible to create a “top 10 list” unless you define rarity in a specific way. For example, there are some new back trophies with winners faces that are effectively 1/1s, not considering extra copies. But arguably cards like Miracle Diamond/Wonder Platinum, Master Key, Scroll, Champions League, etc. are more well-known. Then you have cards like Umbreon PLAY which has a larger distribution yet is more expensive than almost all of the cards with lower distribution numbers. I suggest checking out the Master List of Rarest Cards and taking a look through it to see all of the low-distribution cards in the New Back era.

Thank you !!

i’d assume it would be trophies since there are only, what, like 6 of each placement given out every year?

another guess would be those Vs that were created for the 25th anniversary and given out to the musicians who made songs for pokemon that year like the post malone V (or whoever tf they chose idk)

another possibility would be the custom cards created for ishihara’s birthday. i believe it has happened more than once. i doubt there are less of these each year than there are for the above two, but idk.

as much as i’d like to say something like the japanese umbreon star or prime, those are likely nowhere near the ones above.

even art academy cards likely have many more given out to the winner than worlds trophies or those Vs

Pichu 2009 design contest cards come to mind.

you could also argue TMB would be one of the contenders which is also a unique entry considering they are english cards with jp new back backs
