Hi I was wondering the validity of the rumor about these 2 sets being re-released.
I’ve seen this rumor around. Absolutely zero credibility. If it actually happens we’ll know.
What reason would either set to be rereleased?
Emerging Powers would make no sense, worthless set.

Roaring Sky reprint was all about putting Shamins on the market for competitive play. That’s all that counts for TPC. They want all decks on all tournaments to be the same, meta-decks for the win (Magic’s downfall). There is no rime or reason for them to reprint BW sets because they not playable in Standard nor Extended.
TPC/Nintendo doesn’t care for collectors and secondary market. Maybe… they do a set like Legendary Treasures in the SM block at some point, because they know it’s a good cash cow. But to do a BW set reprint no makes no sense.

Look at the pricing in that e-mail… This isn’t a reprint it is simply a distributor coming across old product and then selling it for slightly under (sometimes over) market price.
I get contacted by my distributor a few times a year about coming into old stock booster boxes. These are really truly “warehouse finds” unlike what Pokemon did with roaring skies etc. They either buy out some old company/cardshop/warehouse etc. and they pick up a few cases of old items and sell them. Right now both of my distributors have stuff all the way back to BW Plasma storm in stock from those very occurrences, but they are nowhere near the standard $~80 pricing and they were printed back during the normal print run.
