Gen 10 Pokemon. After discovering the time machine at the bottom of area zero, the professor throws poke balls to the past and the future. Before he is done, he throws one more poke ball into the machine. This ball contained a very strong, and well trained Scyther. The Scyther was also forced to hold the Dubious Disc. The same disc that was used create Porygon Z. As the poke ball traveled into the telporter, an unexpected error occured. Scyther wasn’t sent to the past, or the future, but the Distortion World. A location only inhabited by Giratina. Scyther’s molecules crackled and were torn apart turing travel. When he arrived, the molecules were rearranged. His body kept a somewhat familiar shape, but all organic material was gone. He was in the form a of a mechanical verison of himself, with some differences. A robot Scyther. The metal still had the same coloring of his orignal form, but his blades, noticably sharper. His speed, faster, almost telportation like. His size, larger. All bug and flying typing was lost during the transition and replaced with a steel typing. While in the Distortion World, Scyther meets Giratina, who trains him in the ways of the Dragon. Instilling Scyther with a variation Giratina’s signature move Shadow Force, Scyther learned a new move Dragon Force. After months of training, the new Steel/Dragon moster was ready for whatever Giratina deemed worthy. Giratina informed this new, upgraded version of Scyther of his new task. He is to be sent back to the real world with one mission. Help other Pokemon be able to make the transition to the underworld who are otherwise unable. He is to help the ghosts stuck in purgatory due to having terrible trainers who’s action may be preventing these Pokemon’s transitions. A Grim Reaper of sorts. Just before his departure, Giratina drapes a purple hood over Scyther’s head and whispers, “I dub the Reapor, the saver of souls and punisher of all those that prevent such”. A new Steel/Dragon type Pokemon is born.
Very cool and interesting backstory on this mon.
I’m an artist at heart and my only critique to add is that he still has too much of an insect appearance - I would expect something akin to Genesect, where the body color doesn’t feel strictly organic. The color of the hood/wings would fit nicely on its body, and perhaps another color on hood/wings. Perhaps even green. Or red!
The double scythes is killer, by the way!
Noted, and good ideas!!! Thank you!
This is so awesome and a very cool lore for its origins.
I don’t know if you have signed up for this, but you really should.
Cheers!
Good looking out! I definitely will!!!
Love it. Very badass and looks heaps better than what has been created during the last few gens of official 'mon imo.
Contradicting an earlier comment, I think it should definitely still retain some cues/colours of Scyther as I think that’s what an evo is all about.
Thank you very much!
