Thanks PWCC

People will catch on. Just a hint OP, I am confident in saying nobody on this forum would sell their card for your asking price, not even close. Don’t use PWCC numbers or auction numbers for a card like this.

Because those are all people stupid enough to put their cards like this up for bids. Anyone here is a serious collector and if they are looking to sell they probably want $5500+ and if they dont get that they’ll just wait out the supply. Bidding is a free b for the most part.

If you find a seller good, if not it is the life.

Why are people acting so condescending towards Androberal over this? They offered a price that they want to buy at, everything checks out for me… sure, mention once that auction prices aren’t going to attract many sellers, but if you don’t like the price, then don’t sell it… they have the wherewithal to offer however much and take/not take the advice without any snide remarks.

I think it never hurts to try. I remember Gumber offering a psa10 shadowless toad up for a 1st ed charizard. The trade happened. Both sides were happy. I doubt he’s gonna find a seller that cheap here, but hey, he’d know that soon enough by a lack of pm’s. Yall gotta be nicer to each other

Welcome to the internet.

it’s fascinating to observe how people here criticize offers but go on to low ball privately when they’re buying. Source? I got really dumb offers from some of the critical guys here incl private ebay messages, at something like ~40% of market value of what it eventually sold for a couple of days later.

I often offer below market prices myself. You’d be surprised at how many sellers are out there for a pop 500 card. Given that I’ve been spending at a rate of ~5k usd a month I think these ‘lowballs’ work fine for smart collectors that can afford to be patient.

Alternatively OP u can just wait for an auction because this card is going to appear another 10 / 20 times at minimum for the remainder of the year

This eloquently sums up my experience in the Pokemon hobby.

I always wonder the same. I mean if the offer was for $2k (which sometimes they are that ridiculously low) then it is warranted. But in this case he is actually offering higher than the most recent sale of the card less ebay fees which is perfectly reasonable. Sure it was an auction and sure they usually go lower, but people run into all kinds of things in life and need to sell quick for whatever various reason. If I had one personally that I had to sell quick I’d much rather sell directly to a member here than go to auction knowing his price is likely what I’d get.

You sure as hell wouldn’t see a business put out a buy list on this card any higher than this right now and thats essentially what this is. It’s higher than I’d personally buy one for today. If I was actually in the market for one would my offer be higher? Likely yes, but still I don’t see anyone else offering better than this price anywhere.

Jeez it’s about as cold in here as Lorelei’s battle in the indigo league.

I’m a low baller myself, however I’m quite caclucated and always wait out until the price is just right. Prices are falling, and I can see them carrying on falling into October/November this year where they might stablise a bit.

You heard it here first but a PSA 8+ 1st Edition Charizard 4/102 could be worth less than £1000 ($1300) come then.

Yeah I get super low ball offers from big posters on here in my eBay as well. Funny the double standard.

efour = eBay?

Honestly, I didn’t see all the condescension people are talking about. I saw posts saying he’s probably not going to get it for that price here, I put my post down as a joke, if you took it seriously come on.

The only real condescension I see is people saying people lowball while asking for higher price. Which yes, I’ll admit I have no problem throwing out a random low offer on eBay, sometimes it works. I don’t do it here because well…

One sold for $4550 and another for $3750 (maybe?). Any chance you picked one of these up? I think you may be able to get your price in an auction.

I’ll be posting whether that $3,750 sale was legitimate in two days or so. The package is on its way to me.

Alright guys, as @cooltrainerryan always puts it, free short term no interest loans for EVERYONE!

This is all that came in the box. The seller asked why I would ask for a refund when so many people messaged him saying that he sold too low. Hm… I don’t know… maybe the fact that you sent me $50 worth of merchandise and no Charizard?!

What an asshole.
