I’ve been collecting Pokemon cards for around a year. A bit of background I’m joining the navy in May and want to clear my debts before I go. I reckon my collection is worth in excess of £10k market value right now? I’ve predominantly bought through friends and friends and people I’ve met on Facebook buying groups and always hear lots of horror stories. Obviously with the value of the size of the collection I want to do it as safely as possible and make the most money from it. I’ve sold a few bits on eBay but again I always feel uneasy.
Few cards/bits:
First edition mint sets of : jungle, fossil, team rocket, neo Genesis
Full sets from ex series (4 of them, delta species, holon phantoms, ex unseen forces, another one)
PSA 9 umbreon and espeon gold star
PSA 10 masaki monster set
Trainer mag PSA 10 set (all 21 PSA 10 bad tyranitar which is a 9)
Master sets from xy series (5 of them)
Loads and loads of other random PSA cards, shinings, gold stars, charizards, rare pikachus etc.
There’s other bits of my collection that I’ve missed off but yeah - it’s a pretty sizeable collection and I want to sell it!

Piecing it on eBay should get you the most, but is labor intensify.
If you’re worried about buyers scamming you on ebay then take video of the product and the packing/shipping process for high value orders. Maybe limit the sales to buyers with a lot of positive feedback. Just try to cover your ass as much as possible. There’s always a risk tho so I don’t blame you for being uneasy.
Didn’t really think of the possibilities of getting scammed till I lost out on a card sent by courier to America - was sent to a house with a communal pigeon hole and because I didn’t state which room it was my fault (I sent to the one on the listing) was a stupid PayPal appeal but ended up losing like a £100 card, so that’s just left a sour taste to be quite honest.
The prices of some of the upper end stuff I have no idea on - the trainer mag set, I’ve never seen a full one for sale, don’t really want to split up the 21 though as they’re all consecutive numbers in PSA grading (was a sweet PSA submission lol)
Just feel uneasy about it all, but I need to do what I need to do - someone suggested buying a gopro and videoing everything, seems too excessive for me!
Sell them on ebay, I’ve sold over 1000 items on there. The only times I’ve ran into any problems was when I sent items untracked, over all its the best and most convenient place to sell
