Sent in a card to get bumped up, quick question

I recently sent in a strong beckett 9.5 (10,10,9.5,9.5) to get bumped to a 10. Beckett sent an email stating that they completed the “verification process” but when I went to check on the site, it shows that the “number of cards graded” is 0. The final grade is also “0” it shows. I know they take a couple of days to update that part but what confuses me is that the card has a new serial #. When I click the serial # to check the details it says that the grades for “centering, surface, edges, corners” are “not available”. My question is, since the serial # is updated, does this mean they cracked it and reslabbed it? Even if it says that the number of card graded was “0” at the moment?

Patience you must have to receive your grades

You won’t get your grades until they are shipped back to you.

Normally I can check the pop reports and see if any new cards from my sub have been graded on the same day, giving me my grades early - but BGS only update their system and your order once shipped.

Thank you, I have seen this before but I have never sent in a card for a sub bump. Since they provided a new cert # for the card gives me hope that they cracked it and are reslabbing it.

Best of luck!

Thank you my friend

Hey, I’m just curious. I’ve never heard of sending in a beckett graded card to get it bumped up. From your original post, it sounds like you didn’t crack and submit it.

How did you go about submitting the slab for reevaluation and did you pay normal grading costs for it? Why would beckett reevaluate a slab they previously graded and bump it up a grade?

After you enter the card you want to grade there will be an option under that writes “graded card review” that you can choose. You also choose what minimum grade you desire for the graded card review. They will not crack it if it doesnt meet your minimum grade requirement after they inspect it.
