Sgc charizard from Smpratte video

Where in the world did sgc come from? I had no idea they even existed… Those black foam slabs are sleekkk

After some research I take it they are less valuable than the big 2. Fair enough. But smpratte really sold that pristine 10 charizard from “SGC” and this thing is gorgeous…the slab and name was alien to me but the whole presentation turned me on to this grader. The thing had 2 graders on it man wow…anyways: my question

How do you get the second grader on the slab? Why is this not a normal practice within the community??

I just submitted a card to sgc after watching the Smpratte thing and didnt see an option for secondary grades. That is so cool though! and is this a new thing? and why is this not on the Beckett and psa scale of value???

How do you get 2 stamps on the slab??? I’m so confused!!

If you followed sports cards you’d see them a lot more they have been around a while.

Definitely prefer those over cgc slabs tbh lol, but idk about the quality as I haven’t researched.

You can send your gem mint cards for the secondary rating if you wanted to: www.mbadiamond.com/

This kind of secondary evaluation has been available for coins and comics for many years but I had never seen it used for Pokemon until Scott’s charizard.

Steve’s and my charity cards were all graded by SGC. They are totally legit and have been grading cards for almost 20 years.

So we want to get a gem mint score first and then send off to mba after? Do they replace the entire slab to include their their sticker underneath the sgc grade like we saw in Scotts vid ?

I can’t be the only one that wants to go for that double gem case. That’s gotta be the coolest case ive ever seen by far

If I had 4 - 500k for a card like that I would prefer the set up from Scotts vid over the Beckett black label I think

Also to your other question yeah they would just put the sticker on top not in the case

I don’t think the SGC 10 in that video gets a PSA 10. The mid left bottom edge whitening would prevent it IMO.

Is sgc an easy grader?

@cartoon no company is an “easy grader” they just all have their own scales and they all make mistakes. I don’t have enough experience with this company to say whether this was a mistake or not I have enough experience with PSA though to say that this getting a PSA 10 would require a mistake IMO.

I’ve seen FAR worse PSA 10s, in fact a majority I’ve owned/seen have been worse

I sent in a cp6 charizard I really think is a masterpiece 10 10. Every little fiber of this card is precise… I elected for 2 day turnaround because I’m gunning for this double gem.

I bet u its gonna hit the graders desk at 12:02 and make him a couple minutes late for his lunch break and gives it a 9 for that reason only
