So I saw a Shadowless, non 1st edition, Non Holo, base set Gyarados.
I thought that combination wasn’t possible? Can someone explain to me how it works? Still hazy.

That’s a holo
It doesn’t look like one at all. The pictures I’ve seen of the Holo version look nothing like that tbhm it looks like plain and doesn’t shine like any of his other foils in the picture
Okay, not fake. Looks like the angle of lighting is just bad. The Shadowless Gyarados has better color with less black than the Unlimited so that may be why it looks odd to you.
I isolated the Gyarados and re-orientated it for better view. Then did a little bit of a color enhance beside the original.
Could be a foil, but the picture really isn’t good enough to determine.
I see, I’ll just ask him for closer up pictures. I’m looking to buy the machamp, Aerodactyle, and the Gyarados from his collection of singles. He takes a bit to respond so I haven’t been able to ask for better pictures. If that’s a foils I’d be super surprised. If it turns out to not be, is it fake?
Likely holo and you just can’t tell from the terrible photo.

Looks holo to me. The Charizard, Venusaur, and Ninetales look similar. I think it’s just the lighting. Unless all of them are fake =P

The only non holo base set art I’ve seen have all been shadowed… Blastoise and Machamp from the Trainer Decks and Zard from Legendary Collection.
Yeah that why I was wondering what was up. A lot of people seem to think it’s just a bad picture and that it’s in fact Holo.
It’s clearly a genuine holographic shadowless Gyarados lol, thats a fact, not sure why you’d ask for our opinion and then turn around and flat out disregard said opinions
I didn’t disregard anything? I was explaining to him that I thought it wasn’t Holo so I made the post, then I continued to say that most people on here pointed out that they would say it’s a hollow. That’s facts.
Another user on here even provided a clearer picture and STILL said the picture is too bad to tell so actually it’s not clearly a Holo.
Also never said I didn’t believe or agree with the people who have said it’s a Holo. I stated up top that I’d go and get a clearer picture and not worry about a fake since everyone is saying it’s most likely just a bad picture and that it’s a holo.
Never anywhere, did I disregard to help anyone provided.
