Went to a baseball game? Got a tree? Share it all here. No Pokémon stuff (unless it ties in naturally) and do not share information that reveals yourself.
I will start it with this:
Just got my first Japanese maple, a Bloodgood. I am also getting an orange dream and purple ghost to start off my Japanese maple collection.
Japanese Maples are beautiful. I have a large one in my backyard. Not sure how old it is, but it was about 12ft tall when I bought the place 8 years ago. I would attach a photo but it would unfortunately include my location.
Last week I finished my first marathon. As I’ve been running almost my entire life this was a long term goal of mine and I am happy to have finally achieved it.
There is a group I run with once a week- any time it’s below about 45F the complaints start to come out and I get closer to the front of the field. And then the opposite happens if it gets above 70F
@Gstiess awesome! I’ve done a few halfs and a full still seems daunting. Congrats on that acheivement!
I build/race RC cars. This weekend will be my first time racing 1/8 scale 4x4 buggy at a regional level event (assuming the weather holds up). I’m quite nervous
This beauty used to visit me quite often up until last year (hopefully it just moved.) Very friendly, incredible fur and the only cat out of a hundred visitors to get along with my neighbors calico. My friend who is also a cat person speculated that it might be some kind of purebred. I googled it recently and I guess it could be something called a Chantilly-Tiffany? It’s certainly not a norwegian forest.
My grandfather was a huge White Sox fan, and I got to go to a game with him and his train commute friends once when I was a kid. That was July 23rd, 2009, and Mark Buehrle pitched a perfect game. Watched a bunch of 70 and 80 something year old guys cry like babies.
I still have the ticket and it’s one of my prized possessions.
I’ll dox myself a little, here’s a picture of him and I a few years after that
Foxes and badgers do visit, no wolverines sadly, but you know what? I have an abnormally large hedgehog on the property. I rarely see it but it is always here somewhere.
Imagine the last thing you see on god’s green earth is this terror waddling towards you.
