We have a new record price point. This year so far the shining charizard has doubled and now so has the shining raichu. I saw a psa 9 sell for $815 yesterday and after an intense debate with myself on spending 2k on this card, I decided I had to do it. I believe this card is still undervalued. Should be MINIMUM 2.6k in my opinion. With having less than 150 1st ed psa 10 copies, being the evolved form of our mascot, and having incredible artwork, I think this card goes to 4k by the end of the year. Just my opinion but you heard it here first

I think Shining Raichu is one of the cooler shinings after Magikarp and Gyarados, that’s why my unlimited Raichu is tucked safely under my bed

Shining Tyrnaitar 1st PSA 10 sold for $2325 a few days ago. That is more than double the $700ish from last year.

Opinion or not, I’m curious. How did you came to such a specific conclusion (MINIMUM 2.6k)?
Generally the formula i use for wotc holos 1st editions is this.
The psa 10 will sell for 5-8x what the 9 sells for. In extreme cases 10x at the high end and 3x at the low end. With the last psa 9 selling for $815 I saw the 10 listed at 2k and figured it was a steal

Chevy m8, TCA sold a psa 9 for 1k. Your math is all wrong, the minimum it should be worth is 3k and max 10k. You got quite a steal!!!

Well I noticed a pattern. And every single wotc 1st edition hollow I looked at had the same pattern. Took me a few days to go over the data. But every time I found one that didn’t fit the pattern, I bought them. Lapras psa 9, mistys golduck psa 9, erikas venusaur psa 9 etc I bought them. And the market corrected and I made money. So I’ve been putting my money where my mouth is. Haven’t been wrong so far.
Also the psa 8 sells for about 40-60% of what the 9 sells for on most of these cards too. Just another addition to the formula

Then the msrket will correct 
The neo Destiny Shinings don’t follow the same pattern as many other wotc holos as they are a lot easier to grade. In the case of many (including raichu) there are actually more psa 10s than 9s, hence why the 10s value are usually alot closer to the 9s when compared against other sets.
Just something to consider.
